Keiki's at the Cal. The California Hotel was celebrating it's 25th anniversary and had invited the Halau to come down and perform. It was the Keiki's day. They all did an awesome job thanks to Nyree and Gigi. | ||

April 8 |
Although not an official Halau event, I did a photoshoot with Nyree who is truely the Princess of the Halau. She will be leaving soon and moving back to Hawaii to get married. (Photos can be seen in the Young Aloha Photos section) | ||

May Day/Lei Day |
I once again took many photos and video at Lei Day Las Vegas. I unfortunately don't remember a whole lot since at the same time I almost lost my Mother. She was undergoing surgery that Sunday. She came out of it OK, but will never be quite the same. | ||
| May 19 | The Halau does many parties and events throughout the year. Many of these are private and do not want a photographer to be hanging around. Today, I was invited to attend a rather large party (several hundred). It was fun. I think Fia Fia stole the show however with her tahitian. | ||

Sept. 16 |
The Summerlin Street Fair had a Hawaiian Day, so the Halau brought some of their Wahine, Kane, and Keiki and put on a very nice performance. |

Ho'olaule'a 2000. I was asked by the Queen of the Royal Court (Kehau- from the Halau) to take photos. The Halau itself performed on Sunday. | ||

The event of the year. Not a true Halau event but a special event that really comes from the heart of the Halau's 'Ohana. The wedding of Nyree and Pesi Silva. I was asked by the couple to fly to Hawaii and photograph the events around the wedding, (before - during - after). They had an "Official Professional Photographer" for the actual wedding photos (my recommendation), but I photoed everything else. We also spent Thanksgiving together on Ala Moana Beach Park. A great memory was standing in the ocean near the beach and talking with my family back in Vegas as they sat down to eat in the rather cool Vegas air. | Dec. 2 | Since the wedding was held in Hawaii and since most of Nyree's friends and family are here, they held a Las Vegas reception just one week after the wedding. (Photos can be seen in the Young Aloha Photos section) | ||
